Some of My Art Work

I drew this from a picture my mom took of our cats. I drew it on a Nintendo DS.
Puma eyes. I drew this on a Nintendo DS. I can't remember if I came up with this picture on my own, or if I looked at another to draw it.

This was inspired by a picture in a magazine. I used colored pencils to draw it.

I looked at my shoe to draw this, and drew it on a Nintendo DS.

I drew this from a picture on my cell phone of my best friend. I added my own background though. I drew this on a Nintendo DS

This was inspired by a picture in a magazine. Seems like a lot of my drawings are! I used colored pencils for this piece.

This was inspired by a picture I found on the internet. I drew it for my mom for mother's day a couple years ago. I drew this on a Nintendo DS.

This is my dog Patchy. I drew it for my dad by looking at a photo of my dog. I used colored pencils to draw this.
I drew this picture yesterday. I sorta got it from a picture in a magazine, only I gave my own twist to it. I added the hand and background. I also made the hair, shirt and eye different. I used colored pencils to make this.
I drew this from a magazine as well, only I didn't change much of anything. I used colored pencils to draw this.

This was a self portrait of my eye. The medium used was colored pencils.

This was a paint-by-number... So I really can't take too much credit for it. Acrylic paints were used for this.

I painted this completely free-hand. It's a picture of my late cat Benjamin. Unfortunately he passed away yesterday. :( I used acrylic paints for this picture.

This is Taylor Swift. The picture looked better before I colored it. I drew it from a magazine. I used colored pencils to draw this.

I drew this on a Nintendo DS. Needless to say it is Jesse McCartney's album art.

A little Chinese girl. I drew this from a magazine but added my own flare to it. I used colored pencils for this one.

This was completely free hand. The girl is supposed to look like one of my friends. Colored pencils were used to draw this picture.

This is Toby Mac (my favorite singer). I looked at a photo to draw this.  I used colored pencils for this drawing.

Heaven

I think it is only appropriate that we as christians think about heaven and long for the day we will be there. The way I see it, looking forward to heaven is like looking forward to a nice big meal after a hard day's work... Only infinitely better! I don't know about you, but I get immensely excited when I read or hear about heaven.

I love reading about others who have died and seen the after life yet somehow lived to tell about it. There is a best selling book about this topic. The book is called "Heaven is for Real" and its about a little boy who died in surgery and went to heaven, but recovered from the surgery and lived to tell of the things he saw. While in heaven he said Jesus sat him on his knee and had the angels sing to him because he was scared. He saw his miscarried sister (which he did not know he had) and saw he great grandfather. He even heard talk of the Armageddon and saw the wounds on Jesus hands, both things he had not yet learned about. Is that not incredible?

I love to imagine how heaven may be! What will Jesus look like? Will there be animals there? What will it smell like? What will it feel like? Probably like nothing I've ever imagined!

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.You know the way to the place where I am going. John 14:1-4

I'm so excited to see what God has in store for his saints!

Life is Like Gardening

Hello friends! I can't think of what to post for my first entry, so I found something I wrote a couple years ago and decided to post it. Hope you enjoy!

Yesterday while I was weeding our gardens and I realized that gardening is so much like life. Planting flowers represents things you try to gain in life. You spend time energy and resources on planting flowers much like you do with things you try to accomplish in life. for example, a person who wants to be a doctor goes to school and studies for his goal or he will never achieve it. If he didn't spend any of his time, money or efforts on trying to accomplish this goal it would be just like going to the store, looking at the flower seeds, admiring the pictures but never buying the seeds and planting them.
Weeds are like temptations. When a weed first pokes it's ugly green head through the soil it is so easy to remove and it will leave little to no mark. But if you procrastinate it will get harder and harder to remove and it might even choke out your flowers. If you let your temptations get out of hand you will give in and this can ruin you life just like weeds can ruin a garden. Pulling weeds is an all time job, weeds are always growing sometimes there is seasons where keeping a garden weeded is almost over bearing.
Good trustworthy friends are like other gardeners helping you with your garden, they point out weeds, help you pull them up and they help you grow flowers. God is like the sunshine and rain that makes everything possible, without him your flowers would never grow. A nice garden doesn't only bring yourself pleasure but also those around you enjoy the beauty of it too, Just like when a person lives a good life it doesn't only affect them but everyone around them!

Thanks for reading my analogy even if it was a little cheesy!!!
